Science Fun!-damentals
Learn the ABC’s of Do-Re-Mi at this summer’s Noise Exhibit at the Science Factory—where loud is allowed! Smack dab in Eugene’s Alton Baker Park, you get to discover totally new worlds about energy, recycling and gravity. With constantly changing events, the sky’s the limit…oops, not really, not with the Planetarium’s weekend shows like, “Lifestyles of the Real Stars”. Learning at the Science Factory’s a gas (whatever that gas happens to be). Even better—no homework!

Fly, Fly Away!
Do you ever dream about flying? Then you will love the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville. It is home to the world’s largest wooden plane. Nicknamed the “Spruce Goose,” this plane’s wingspan is longer than a football field! You’ll also see a replica of “Flyer,” which the Wright Brothers invented and flew back in 1903 for 12 seconds. That was a big deal back then! Stick around to watch movies on the brand-new Evergreen IMAX Theater—its screen is six stories high. Now that’s impressive.

The Enchanted Forest
At the Enchanted Forest near Salem you can shoot down 40 feet of water on the Big Timber Log Ride, crawl through Alice in Wonderland’s rabbit hole, pan for gold in an Old Western Town, and try to keep your balance in the crooked man’s house on Storybook Lane. It’s all in a forested setting, hence the name: Enchanted Forest. Check it out this summer!
