Southern Oregon

In Southern Oregon you can explore underground caves at Oregon Caves National Monument, see elephants paint pictures with their trunks, cruise down the Rogue River on a fast jet boat and so much more.

This part of the state has plenty of sunny skies year-round, and it snows here, too. A good place to play in the snow is Mt. Ashland Ski Area, where you can learn to ski or snowboard—or just polish your skills.

Summer is an excellent time to visit Crater Lake National Park. It’s the deepest lake in North America and is filled with 4.6 trillion gallons of water from rain and snow. That’s a lot of water!
